Some advice before installing IE 7

We recommend that you follow these steps, and then re-installed in Internet Explorer 7. Some people may not agree with me, but years of experience has shown that this is the best practice ...

1. The first thing to do is to read the release notes. Currently known, you can save themselves hours of grief if you have to understand, and then install the IE7.
2. Set up a restore point (just in case).
3. Turn off Automatic Updates (please believe me, you will thank me later if you have installed the beta version of IE7 or reinforced concrete construction).
4. Disable the protection software, such as anti-virus, anti-spyware and security collapse.
5. Do not turn off your firewall!
6. Stay connected to the Internet.
7. Close all running programs - including Yahoo, Windows Defender will, and OneCare software - Do not forget to check and the systray icon.
8. If you are running ZoneAlarm 6.5, disconnect from the Internet, uninstall ZoneAlarm, make sure that Windows Firewall is enabled, re-connect to the Internet and then install IE7. This is because the firewall is blocking access to Windows registry. Yes, you uninstall ZoneAlarm.

7 installed to run a variety of payment clearance to register before you can start the installation, so as to minimize abortion / damage to the installation, but there is no guarantee that the installation process will pick up everything. This is the best to ensure that the software in question, may prevent access to registry is disabled.

If you still see registry permission problems, please check out the advice here:

9.HKEY_Current_User \ Software \ Microsoft \ InternetExplorer \ InstalledByUser

If the installation of the failure of the DWORD is IE7RC1 does not exist, but will also install the RC1 delete the DWORD after installation completed successfully. You will not find a standard install of RC1, but at the same time, there do not know the key is to cause problems. When the missing DWORD result in the failure of the RC1 version of the installation, all this took place is to install roll back, you see the failure of the window, a shortcut is dumped on your desktop. Therefore, if you prefer, you can add the DWORD if you have a mysterious installation fails, you have a problem, find the reasons, but I doubt it will make any difference - This, of course, there is no difference between the scores of my system.

10.To install Internet Explorer 7. * Restart twice * before running your new Web browser first.

11.Do not forget to re-enable your antivirus software, third-party firewall and other protection software is now that you have been completed.

12.Do not install any version of Microsoft Windows in any way you install Internet Explorer 7. Do not place Windows upgrade, or upgrade to new version. You must uninstall IE 7 browser and restart twice, and then try to repair, reinstall or upgrade Windows:

Note that the uninstall directory is now at c:\windows\ie7\spunist

The bug that broke IE6 when a repair install of Windows was completed with IE7 installed has, apparently, been fixed, but it is still strongly recommended that IE7 be uninstalled first.
